Marjorie has 10 years’ experience driving engagement and impacting behavior, with an expertise in translating technical concepts into digestible, well-written messaging and content. She has worked both within public relations agencies as well as in-house with Hilton and the March of Dimes leading, developing and executing communications programs to champion causes and drive business results.
Throughout her career, she has developed strategic communications and outreach plans aimed at reaching consumers, local communities, industry influencers and other audiences. She has implemented tactics to execute these strategies, managing media relations, generating content across multiple channels, building relationships with key partners, and preparing for and responding to crises. She has worked on issues around innovation and new tech, manufacturing, agriculture, science, maternal and child health, and more.
With a checklist always in hand, Marjorie loves the process of building projects and programs to deliver against communications objectives actively and strategically. A quick learner and lover of research, she begins these efforts by first understanding an organization’s goals, challenges and position by staying informed on industry news and trends and engaging with audiences.
Born and raised just outside Boston, Massachusetts, Marjorie has a degree in communications from Boston University. Despite their devotion to the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins, she and her husband decided to move to the Washington, D.C. area in 2010. They currently reside in Northern Virginia with their two sons and, their dog and cat.
