Kristy Cooper is a six-time Emmy award-winning producer. She began her media career in domestic news at CNN, followed by ESPN’s SportsCenter, before returning to CNN's Special Projects unit.
From there, Kristy supported the Department of Defense for more than a decade and worked alongside U.S. military journalists to produce live news, commercials, promos, public service announcements and trailers.
She managed the creative services department and led the full rebrand of the Pentagon Channel. Kristy also served as the director of marketing and coordinating producer for Towne Group, a strategic communications company, with clients ranging from nonprofits to government agencies.
Kristy then went on to lead Empire PBS (KVCR) as the director of original television production where she was the showrunner for 10 series and specials, including two that won Emmy awards: a military docu-special and a lifestyle series. Additionally, she won gold and silver awards from the American Advertising Federation for rebranding the station.
In 2019, Kristy founded Team Cooper Entertainment, a production company that developed television shows and highlighted dynamic women. Most recently, she was the senior director of live programming and special projects for BNC. Kristy lives in Tallahassee, Florida with her talent agent husband, Ralph, and their son, Jack.
