Anna has two decades of experience in developing and implementing complex communication strategies through storytelling. She is passionate about helping others achieve their goals. Known for her attention to detail, Anna leaves no stone unturned.
Frequently one to wear many hats, Anna can easily shuffle from event planning to media relations to data analysis and communications strategy. Anna is never one to back down from a challenge and continually works to expand her skill set. She takes great ownership in each project she collaborates on and is extremely loyal, honest and dependable. The eternal optimist, Anna believes in finding the positive in every situation she encounters.
In taking on a new project, it all begins with a story to tell. Anna utilizes her training and experience to deep dive into the challenge presented to explore all sides to each story. She collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to gain all perspectives before providing recommendations. Anna has spent several years working in-house and as a consultant within the nonprofit and mental health sectors. In addition, Anna is a self-professed “data geek” and has presented several times at Blackbaud’s BBCON, a leading conference for nonprofit fundraising professionals. This combination of creative and analytical approaches has resulted in positive and cost-effective outcomes.
Beyond her day-to-day work, Anna believes in giving back. She currently serves on various boards and committees within her local school district. Anna previously served on the board of directors for Family Promise of Linn County, Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, and the Women’s Equality Coalition of Linn County.
An Iowa native, Anna holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa with degrees in Journalism and Spanish as well as a certificate in Latin American Studies. (Go Hawkeyes!) She and her husband reside in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with their four musical children. Their weekends are often spent at marching band and show choir competitions or cheering on their beloved Kansas City Chiefs.
